東北威州的收養華人兒童組織
(NEWFCC)正式邀請NEWCA於2007年一月28日下午，在Appleton的著名Performing
Arts Center
(PAC)表演新年節目。這即將是Fox
Valley的第一次。整個節目即將向外公演和售票。我們NEWCA會員即將用減價的票入場。這是一次難得的機會，既能讓大家在一流的劇院欣賞高質量的節目，又可以向周圍的美國朋友介紹古老豐富的中國文化和傳統。(详见全文) |

We were just invited by the
Northeast Wisconsin Families with Children from China
(NEWFCC) to
perform at the prestigious Performing Arts Center
(PAC) in Appleton on
January 28, 2007 (Sunday afternoon). These purely Chinese performances
at PAC will be the first in the Fox Valley area, and will be a
highly publicized ticketing event open to general public. All of our
association members will have discounted tickets to attend the shows.
This is a great opportunity to not only enjoy the high-quality programs
in a state-of-the-art arena, but also connect with other community
members and showcase our rich and colorful Chinese culture and great
traditions to American friends. (Detailed

For thousands of
years, the Chinese have celebrated their best time of the year
— New Year’s Eve and New
Year —
with family reunions, social interactions, literature
competitions, calligraphy exhibitions, and renewed gourmandism. However,
nothing is more memorable than a spectacular New Year Party Show with
endless displays of talents, arts, and beauties. This is what NEWCA and
NEWFCC will bring to the Fox Cities.

New Year Party Preparation Committee, we would like to express our
sincere thanks to you all for your dedication to show preparations,
and your willingness to serve as cultural delegates for our Chinese in

Here is a glimpse of what
will be on the stage:
-
Traditional
Chinese Lion Dance—this enormously poplar show is brought to you by
the Whitefish Bay Kung Fu Organization;
-
The
solo performance of both Eastern and Western masterpieces, A
Fisherman’s Song and Carman Fantasy, by award-winning
violinist Prof. Wen-Lei Gu, whose play (according to
Yehudi Menuhin,
one of the greatest violinists in the modern era) "sounds like a
poem, looks like a painting;"

The
beauty and grace of traditional Chinese dance, including umbrella
dance, Mongolia dance, and ancient dance presented by the one and
only Fox Valley Chinese Dance Group;

Beauty
by design—Chinese fashion show featuring a collection of “Heaven &
Earth” created mainly by using CAD and digital printing techniques;

Dear New Year Performers,
NEWCA members, NEWFCC members, and other participants,
At this time Sharyl & I would
like to thank you all for your hard work and the dedication that you
have all demonstrated to put together this quality performance. As the
time of the performance draws near we are getting excited to see it all
come together as we share in this wonderful celebration and a first ever
program of this kind for the Fox Cities. Your time and talents will
soon be appreciated by all who’ll attend.

Important Announcement:
All
performers EXCEPT Children's choir:
All
performers will need to enter through the stage doors which are
located behind the PAC--by the loading dock. This will be the only
door open for us.
Children's Choir:
The
children and their families will enter the door located on Division
Street. It is one of the main doors and is the valet parking door.
The KC Theater will be located straight ahead and to the right. I
believe there will be ushers there directing. The door will open at
12:45 pm. As a reminder: all the children need to be there by 1:30pm.
